1. Board Report
- Adric:- Board meeting today, 3 - 5
- Looking at changes to the By-Laws
- Clarifying banned members
- Same household members would not be able to serve as Directors
- Looking into a bank account switch, but should be transparent to most all members
- Trying to work on resuming welding classes
 
2. Officer Reports
- President's Report- Working on BoD election
- Nominations close next Saturday
- Election a week after that
- Using OPAVOTE for electronic voting
 
- Treasurer's report- 21K + in checking & Savings
- Got the Electricity bill for the last six months
- Also for Jan & Feb Rent
- Those two are about 3 - 4 K in bills payments
- Bank switch upcoming, which will include getting away from SQUARE & STRIPE, using a bank service for payments processor
 
- Education: position currently vacant
- Events Officer: position currently vacant
- Membership: John “JT” Benedetto, acting officer- January did a verification of student process. Of the 18 student members, we got ten verification emails. I have not yet locked down the members that did not respond.- 104 active members:- (78) Sustaining
- (9) associate
- (17) Student, though that number will go down with the verification process
 
 
 
- Outreach: Charel Morris- This Saturday is STEM day at the Nuclear Museum

- Donations: John “JT” Benedetto- Processing the previous donations; most of things being put on the up for grabs shelf
- 2nd Donated air compressor needs a plug, will probably move to the metal shop
- Nice donation of BluRay player, Tormek Grinder, Biscuit Joiner, Compressor
- AFRL donation of multi machine
 
- Facilities: John Murray- Still a leak in the welding area

- Rental: Darren Moody- We’ve recovered one of the lost spaces from last month, and there may be another person interested in rental. That will leave three blue/white spaces available for rent.
 
- Area Captains- 3-D Printing: Josh Pedersen- Printers are printing
- Blinky is good, with Octoprint set up, with Morgan doing training
- Orion is printing as is the PrintRBot
 
- Arcade - Troy Ross- Not too much, but he will be setting up DMX controlled lights under the shelves
- Still looking at maybe building a couch
 
- Electronics Lab: Aaron Birenboim- Some stock came in, really accurate resistors
 
- Fiber Arts: Sherie Pennebaker- Don’t just dump stuff in there
- Some untagged items will be purged in the next month or so
 
- Laser: Craig Goldsmith- Cooling fan is down over the main board
 
- Metal Shop: Eric Lee- No injuries, all lathes & mills operational
 
- Welding: John Murray- Brought in some gas & welding wire, all operational
 
- Woodshop: Gonner Menning- Adric reported that Gonner got new parking tickets, please make sure your stuff is properly tagged
 
- Stained Glass- One of the nice glass cutters has gone missing
- Cleaned out the toolbox & will work with Adric for tools trays
 
- Digital Arts Lab- Printhead path error - the error went away (eventually) & is now clear. It may have an intermittent issue? He will leave a note on it
 
 
3. Old Business
- Star Wars Fest 6- Last Saturday we attended the Rio Rancho Loma Colorado Library’s Star Wars Day
- A big thank you to all that represented Quelab & a special thank you to Craig & Sully for coming out
- We did something new - making 100 small Tie Fighter model kits for adults to do, and got nice feedback on it.
- We are looking into collaboration with the 501st.
- Got a possible lead on a CNC Plasma cutter
 
4. New Business
- Mini Maker Faire- April 21 & 22
- Fewer volunteer meetings this year
- Bi-weekly maker orientations at different locations
- Quelab people can be in the Quelab tent or separate, in their own
- All are encouraged to sign up as makers, regardless of where they will be
 
- Board of Directors Election- Josh, Celeste + volunteers helping
- Nominations close 2-10, final announcement of nominees on 2-11
- Election afternoon 2-18
- Electronic only voting, can vote “none of the above”
- Membership voting is required & we need to make quorum

- Cleaning- Cleaning will be of the bathrooms, the entryway room, and the main classroom
- Everything in the core needs removed from the main classroom
- Access to the space Monday will be via the Annex door
