Quelab Members are by definition, people who are interested in supporting the objectives as defined in our bylaws. There are three classes of membership, as defined below. The membership rolls are maintained by the Membership Officer.

Members are expected to follow the Bylaws and the Code of Conduct; an orientation will be provided to new members which goes over the general member policies included below, which includes but is not limited to: safety, general liability, and site access.

Membership dues are charged in advance monthly; they come due on the first of the month, and are considered late on the fifteenth of the month. Members who have automatic renewal of their dues on or after the fifteenth of the month are considered to be paid for the following month, with a grace period extended for the current month. All members are strongly suggested to utilize an automatic payment method for the ease of administration.

This level is for folks who are not ready for a monthly committment, but interested in being associated with Quelab. The Friends-card is a refillable membership card which provides purchasers access to the Quelab Chatter email list. Current perks include: Quelab T-Shirt for $10, and five redemption coupons. The redemption coupons are worth $5 each for Quelab events or workshops. The $20 card comes with $25 worth of Quelab 'credit'. These cards are transferrable (you can buy them as a present) but expire after one year from purchase.

This is the 'standard' membership level. Members receive a Quelab T-shirt, an @quelab.net email address, 24/7 access to the space, free admission to all scheduled hacknights and events, and discounted prices to classes/workshops. Members can opt into the Chatter email list, and are automatically added to the members-only discussion email list.

This is an addon for sustaining members, generally used for other members of the family or other people who live with you. Associate memberships renew at the same time as the Sustaining membership. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paid adult member.
