FIXME

The term of the Social Media & Communications officer is one year, and is appointed by the board with the advice of the President.

The responsibilities of the Social Media & Communications Officers are as follows:

  • Coordinate communications across our online resources, including, but not limited to:
    • Twitter
    • Eventbrite
    • Tinyletter
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • Meetup
    • Quelab's blog
    • Quelab’s email lists
  • Promote upcoming events online
  • Promote upcoming events to media contact list
  • Add blog content weekly (about Quelab or other topics such as 3D printing)
  • Proactively outreach to local media
  • Coordinate with other officers/board members on issues regarding communications
  • Identify and document secondary Communications Officer
