Quelab Members are by definition, people who are interested in supporting the objectives as defined in our bylaws. There are three classes of membership, as defined below. The membership rolls are maintained by the Membership Steward.
Members are expected to follow the Bylaws and the Code of Conduct; an orientation will be provided to new members which goes over the general member policies included below, which includes but is not limited to: safety, general liability, and site access. Twenty-four hour access will be granted only to those who have completed the orientation.
Membership dues are charged in advance monthly; they come due on the first of the month, and are considered late on the fifteenth of the month. Members who have automatic renewal of their dues on or after the fifteenth of the month are considered to be paid for the following month, with a grace period extended for the current month. All members are strongly suggested to utilize an automatic payment method for the ease of administration.
This is the 'standard' membership level. Members receive a Quelab T-shirt, 24/7 access to the space, access to members-only tools, tool training, access to members-only events, discounted prices to classes/workshops, access to members-only digital resources, and the ability to sponsor guests. An annual version of the Sustaining membership is available for $500 for a full-year; this is an effective discount of 16% giving the member 2 months free.
This is an add-on for sustaining members, generally used for other members of the family or anyone else residing in the same household as a Sustaining Member. Associate Members receive the same benefits as Sustaining Members. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paid adult member.
Student Members receive the same benefits as Sustaining Members. (Student status is now required, check with the treasurer for details)
