Social Media & Communications Steward

The Communications Steward exists to ensure that the world at-large knows whats happening at Quelab. They are our point-of-contact for getting items posted to our blog, updates posted to our email newsletter, as well as coordinating responses to questions posed on social media.

The term of the Social Media & Communications Steward is one year, and is appointed by the board with the advice of the President.

The responsibilities of the Social Media & Communications Steward are as follows:

• Coordinate communications across our online resources, including, but not limited to:
  • Twitter
  • Eventbrite
  • Tinyletter
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Meetup
  • Quelab's blog
  • Quelab’s email lists
• Promote upcoming events online
• Promote upcoming events to media contact list
• Add blog content weekly (about Quelab or other topics such as 3D printing)
• Proactively outreach to local media
• Coordinate with other stewards/board members on issues regarding communications
• Identify and document secondary Communications Steward(s)
